Special Interest Groups* are Austin ASTD training & development professionals who meet on a regular basis to expand their knowledge in specific areas and/or to enjoy networking with colleagues.
Special Interest Groups (SIG's) meetings vary, but often include a speaker, a case study, or a discussion topic. There is usually time set aside before or after the meeting for informal networking and allowing participants to catch up or get acquainted.
Austin ASTD SIGs are free, and with the exception of the members-only CPLP SIG, are open to both Austin ASTD members and guest attendees. We ask that you register for all events so that we can prepare enough space and materials for everyone.
The chapter's Special Interest Groups are listed below:
Cliff Notes Club SIG
CPLP SIG
Instructional Design & eLearning SIG
Healthcare Education SIG
If you would like to be notified of future meetings, or if you would like an opportunity to speak at an upcoming meeting, please contact the SIG facilitator for the group the
