Please join us for the review of a book about social media and Web 2.0. We will listen to an audio review then discuss its application to our work as trainers and instructional designers. It is not necessary to read the book before attending the session.
Socialnomics: How Social Media Transforms the Way We Live and Do Business
By Erik Qualman
A little bit about the book: Today, we are in the early stages of a revolution that is being driven by social media. Socialnomics is a massive socioeconomic shift. Yet, some of the core marketing and business principles of the last few centuries will still apply, while other basic principles will become as extinct as the companies that continue to try to force them on the unwilling public.
There is no doubt that our technology and social-networking practices of the day are changing how we do business. Insight on how business is changing and how to best anticipate and work within the new parameters have a large impact on our work as trainers and instructional designers.
