The Instructional Design & eLearning SIG gives Austin ASTD members and guest attendees an opportunity to hear presentations and discuss topics related to instructional design and educational technology. Meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month. The focus of meetings alternates between instructional design and eLearning, with many topics addressing both areas.
You are also invited to join the Yahoo group forum for ASTD Austin's Instructional Design & eLearning Special Interest Group. In addition to meeting announcements, group members can use the Yahoo group to ask questions and discuss topics related to instructional design or eLearning, post job announcements and professional opportunities, and share tips and resources. Austin ASTD SIGs are free for members, there is a $10 charge for non-members. If you plan to attend 6 or more SIG events, an annual membership would be very cost effective, and all SIG events would be free and you would be offered a lower rate to attend monthly programs.
